A recreation of the Black Forest where the three birds are fought in
The Black Forest (검은 숲, Geomeun Sup) was a forest located in the Outskirts discovered by L Corp where Punishing Bird, Big Bird, and Judgment Bird originated from. While not appearing proper in-game itself, its environment were simulated in the books the birds were kept in, along with manifesting the other inhabitants that fought alongside the birds in their fights.
According to the legends, it was once a populated area that became abandoned when the three birds eventually became Apocalypse Bird in an effort to protect the forest from the very monster they wanted to prevent.

- The Black Forest is based on the real-life Black Forest located in southwest Germany.
- The nothern region of Germany's Black Forest contains the town of Calw, the birthplace of Hermann Hesse, author of short novel Demian: The Story of Emil Sinclair's Youth, whom the Limbus Company characters Emil Sinclair and Demian are directly based on. The real-life Calw also provided the name of the town of Calw located in K Corp's Nest.
